Welcome to metropolitan-Atlanta’s Fulton County Airport (FTY).

FTY is the closest airport to Hartsfield International (ATL). FTY has a 24×7 control tower and is an ARFF Index D facility.

Pilots are encouraged to study the current sectional since FTY’s Class D airspace lies in very close proximity to two other Class D airspaces as well as ATL’s Class B airspace.

FTY is in a noise sensitive area and we ask your voluntary consideration of curfews, runup restrictions and preferential runway use. See specific sections below for details.

For IFR arrivals, and when available from ATC, the preferred instrument procedure is RWY 08 ILS.

Jet aircraft are asked to voluntarily fly the NBAA-recommended departure procedure listed in the section below.
