Mandatory Restrictions
All Runways | All Aircraft Categories | Arrival & Departure
All aircraft are subject to the nighttime departure Curfew.
All aircraft are subject to the 104 EPNL dB noise restriction.
Un-certificated aircraft are prohibited from operating at the airport unless they received prior permission.
Only valid Life-Flights, that provide completed written documentation with 3 business days, are all allowed to depart during the Curfew.
Ultra-light type aircraft are prohibited at and inof SDIA.
Practice approaches and touch-and-go’s are prohibited.
Curfews
All Runways | All Aircraft Categories | Departure Only
No Stage 2 aircraft may depart, or perform an engine run-up, between 2200L and 0700 Local.
No Stage 3 aircraft may depart, or perform an engine run-up, between 2330L and 0630 Local.
For the purposes of our Curfew, all helicopters are still considered Stage 2.
Only valid Life-Flights, that provide completed written documentation with 3 business days, are all allowed to depart during the Curfew.

Reverse Thrust
All Runways | All Aircraft Categories
Pilots are requested to use minimum reverse thrust where consistent with safe operations.
Engine Runup
No engine run-ups are allowed between 2330L and 0630 Local, unless the run-up is associated with a Life-Flight operation.
No Stage 2 aircraft may perform an engine run-up between 2200L and 0700 Local.
Stage II
No Stage 2 aircraft may depart, or perform an engine run-up, between 2200L and 0700 Local.
Stage III
No Stage 3 aircraft may depart, or perform an engine run-up, between 2330L and 0630 Local.
Flight Track Monitoring
Flight track monitoring in effect 24/7. For more information, contact the Airport Noise Mitigation Department.
Noise Ordinance
Any aircraft which exceeds 104 EPNLdB per FAR Part 36 test procedures (Departures) is prohibited from operating at SDIA. Violation of this regulation faces a $10,000 penalty.
Noise Monitoring

Prior Permission (PPR) Operations
All military operations require a PPR. Uncertificated aircraft types, or aircraft types that exceed the 104 EPNLdB restriction, are prohibitied from operating.
