  Overview

Tampa International Airport needs your assistance in being good neighbors to the communities around the Airport. Your support makes the program at the Airport a success.

The Airport’s Preferential Runway Use Program seeks to minimize to the greatest extent possible, overflights of communities south of Runway 1R, which maximizes flights over water.

During North Flow arrival operations, all turbojet aircraft are expected to land on Runway 1L.

During South Flow departure operations, commercial type jet aircraft are expected to depart Runway 19R.
